Roulette
Roulette is played on a turning wheel with a ball that is spun around it. The wheel has either 36 or 37 numbered pockets, depending on the type of the roulette you play (painted black or red). The goal is to guess where the ball is going to land when the wheel stops spinning by betting on a number or a group of numbers.
There are three popular variations of roulette in most casinos — European Roulette, American Roulette, and French Roulette. The setup for the European and French roulette is the same, but some of the rules and combinations you can play differ. However, the American Roulette uses a different wheel compared to the former two. This wheel has 37 holes because it has a zero and a double-zero pocket, whereas the other two have just one zero pocket. That makes your chances of guessing the right number lower.
The best thing about roulette, and the reason why it is so popular is that there is a huge number of betting options available. You can bet on red or black, odd or even, a single number, combinations of numbers, etc. Single-number bets will bring you the most money if you bet right, but they carry the highest risk as well.
